The main objective of this project is to find out the importance of fatigue failure mode for shear connection in steel-concrete composite road bridges. Accordingly, we firstly compile the reported information about the damages and fatigue failures of shear connection. To investigate the fatigue failure during service life, internal forces history patterns for different shear connection are determine. For more investigations, the main shortcomings in fatigue design of shear studs will be defined.
